Gary Turner was one of the great Route 66 ambassadors, and one of the nicest people your can imagine. My friend Steve Bunch and I stopped in to see Gary on our way to Santa Monica in May of 2012. We stayed well over an hour (probably closer to two) and enjoyed every minute. I am posting a very brief video of our experience that morning. They say nobody is irreplaceable, but Gary comes about as close as you can get. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
