Gary and I spent the good part of today in Fullerton, CA helping Craig and his terrific crew at The Auction Place (theauctionplaceinc/) unpack and identify 120+ jars for the cookie jar auction scheduled for January 17, 2015. It was great fun and we saw some terrific jars. There were jars from American Bisque including a gorgeous Popeye with original pipe and partial label intact and a bevy of Flintstone jars. There were Brush, Shawnee, Robinson Ransbottom, Sierra Vista, Starnes (two wonderful Pirates!), McCoy (the most gorgeous Globe I have ever seen with spectacular original paint) and so much more. Here are a few pictures we took. Craig will be posting the catalog soon that will include even more jars and online bidding will be via Proxibid.
