Gary is back from his mission trip today. Poverty beyond belief. Children eating just a little of their breakfast so another one can have a little more. Same at lunch. No cars, no businesses, a lady who volunteers with Save The Children has a little ministry that scrapes by with just enough gas money to make the trip to Montgomery to fill the truck with food to give to the residents of Union Town. Dr. Ford and the volunteers from local hospitals (Dr.s, nurses, etc.) take the Medical van and see as many as they can. One lady brought her little boy to see the Child Psychologist - only to find out nothing was wrong with her son - he just couldnt see! So she took him over to the optometrist who fit him with a pair of glasses!! On the way down, the van had a tire to blow out and a country boy stopped in his old truck and gave them a number to call for tire service. They called and someone was there in 10 minutes. Oh, and by the way, the old country boy - goes to Church of the Highlands in Birmingham! God has it all figured out folks! Gary was tired and blessed!
