Gas prices in poor neighborhoods, take 2: On the way to work, I stopped at a station and got gas for 3.17 a gallon. As I got closer to work, I remembered Id forgotten to get a soda for lunch so I stopped at a station close to my job, in a poorer neighborhood thats predominantly black and hispanic/latino. The family that owns this station is not of this race or ethnicity. Gas was 3.64. I got a can of soda for 79 cents and the woman working there told me that in order to use my debit card, I either had to spend at least $6 or let her charge me an additional 50 cents so she wont lose money on the transaction. Ive been mad as hell about this all damned day! WHY DO BUSINESS IN A COMMUNITY U HAVE SO MUCH RESENTMENT TOWARDS? Im calling a Raleigh tmrw bc this is some bullshit.
