Gateway (London, On) 2013 Theme - "Stepping Through The Scriptures. wearegateway.ca The Christian life must be lived out based, not on what you feel or what you think, but on what God says in His Word. This will be the anchor, the theme, the parameters for all of our messages at Gateway Church, London & Komoka during 2013.It should be second nature to us, as followers of Jesus, however asking ourselves what the Bible says before we think, choose, or act isn’t always what we do. Many people don’t even know what the Bible says; they guess or decide without any conscious consideration that they may be completely wrong. As a result they create their own theological ideas. We would all do well to remember that just because something makes sense to us, doesn’t mean it is God’s idea. This year, we want to encourage people that truly focusing on studying the Scriptures and learning what they speak into our lives; that doing what is right, is more important than doing what we think or feel. This must come after obedience and submission to what God says, and not before. “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a blameless worker who correctly handles the word of truth.”~ (2 Timothy 2:15) "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, conviction, correcting and instruction in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”~ (2 Timothy 3:16-17) "For the word of God is alive and active, and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart.”~ (Hebrews 4:12) We pray that throughout this year, we will join together as students of the Word of God, ask the right questions, and step through His ultimate best . . . His written Word!
