Gathering Our Voices March 17-20, 2015 Prince George, BC The BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres & the Prince George Native Friendship Centre are proud to host: Gathering Our Voices Aboriginal Youth Conference from March 17-20, 2015. The 13th Annual Aboriginal Youth Conference will be held in Prince George, British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Lheidli Tenneh at the Prince George Civic Centre and other venues around the city. Aboriginal youth aged 14-24 are invited to take part in this dynamic conference that will focus on many important issues including Health, Language, Culture, the Environment, Employment, Education, Sports and Recreation. Many workshops, cultural activities, an interactive Career and Education fair, a social enterprise Dragons Den, evening entertainment and afternoon sport and recreation activities will be offered. Registration Information: Early Registration Fee - $125 until February 6, 2015 Regular Registration Fee - $175 February 7, 2015 - March 17, 2015 For every registered group of 5 youth, the 6th registrant is FREE! We are excited to share that our website is now updated with the 2015 conference documents. Further information on the 2015 conference documents can be found on our website: gatheringourvoices.bcaafc Below is an outline of what is available on our website: Registration The registration package includes general conference information, as well as information about transportation and accommodation options. We are pleased to note there is a new online registration process. Please visit out website and review the Frequently Asked Questions before you register. Call for Facilitators We invite interested individuals/groups to submit applications to facilitate interactive workshops for the 2015 Aboriginal Youth Conference. Submission deadline is November 21, 2014. Call for Exhibitors This is a unique opportunity to share information with up to 1000 conference delegates attending the 2015 event. The application deadline is January 30, 2015. Youth Talent Showcase The Youth Showcase takes place Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Registered youth delegates interested in showcasing their talent can complete an application to perform in the evening showcase. Application deadline is March 6, 2015. Honour an Aboriginal Youth Champion If you know an Aboriginal youth delegate (aged 14-24) who has made an outstanding commitment or achievement in their community, honour them at the conference! Anyone can nominate a youth for this award. Nomination deadline is March 6, 2015. Workshop Registration Workshop pre-registration is available in early February for those who are registered. Workshop descriptions and pre-registration information will be available in February 2015. Volunteer Volunteers are integral to making each conference a success. There are a number of times and volunteer positions to suit everyone. The volunteer form and information will be available in January 2015.
