Gday Guys, sorry it has been a while between posts. We are in the process of making more videos and tying up the event in general. We cant believe that this whole journey has nearly come to an end and we are all still pinching ourselves on what we have done. We are even more overwhelmed at the fact that even though our ride is over, we are still receiving donations which is so great to see. Today we are sitting at $62,111.64!!!! Its an unbelievable total and we believe we can keep on upping it. We are hoping to do a final function to cap the whole event off and do an official handover to BeyondBlue at the same time, so please keep your eye on the page as we will post details closer to date. While we have your attention, we would also like to bring to your attention about another journey that an awesome couple are undertaking. Rosemary and Mick Weber are WALKING the Canning Stock Route a massive 1850km that runs from Halls Creek in the Kimberley region to Wiluna in the mid west. They to are raising awareness for suicide and depression. Sadly, Rosemary lost her brother just 2 years ago from this dreadful illness, and her husband Mick has battled depression himself but has thankfully found the right avenues to get on top of his demons and is now turning the tables and helping others. The walk was going great and they were on target for well 8 until Mick was struck down with excruciating abdominal pain. They were lucky enough to be picked up by a convoy of 4WD tour guides, but not so in that it was a 4 hour drive to the closets station, Glenayle. They tried to call in for the RFDS but bad weather ment it was unsafe to land on the strip. The wonderful owners of Glenayle then drove them another 3 hours to the Wiluna hospital, before Mick was then flown down to the Royal Perth Hospital. Mick was quite sick, a rupture of the left ureter and kidney. This hasnt stopped Rosemary from completing the trek, and even though Mick wont be right next to her, he will be with her in the support vehicle. Unfortunately the finances were hit with a heavy blow over this time and Rosemary is doing everything she can to make the funds to complete the walk, even selling her own car. We have asked so much of you over the last six months, but we ask one more favour. To chuck a few dollars Rosemary and Micks way, and help them to reach their goal in completing the Canning Stock Route and raising much needed awareness for suicide and depression. Bank account details are as follows: Commonwealth Bank BSB - 066 512 ACC - 1044 5103 Please mark in description as CSR TREK Rosemary is able to issue receipts as well. There is still another 4 - 6 weeks left of the walk, and we would really love to see them finish this amazing adventure, just like we were able to. Thanks again BTD Team
