Gearing up like this, People, should be on an exception basis, not routine SoP. Additionally, they shouldnt deploy some surplus military hardware, etc. and leverage against Americas citizenry. Better to melt them down and recycle materials in some of it whenever possible than shipping it to cities and small towns throughout America. Its in the overwhelming majority of Americas citizenrys best interest to either destroy or recycle military surplus equipment retired from use in wars. However, theres almost always at least two sides. Deliberate upon this People ... Lets connect some of the dots, shall we? Given, with todays USA status quo, bold/rampant unjust sentencing, targeted mass incarcerations over the past 30-years, personification of corporations for unlimited political party contribution purposes, corporate owned, influenced, censored, and controlled mass media, legislation, laws/statutes that place profits before people/planet Earth, and that rollback/annihilate/etc. other civil and human rights, liberties/freedoms, and the like ... WHICH SEGMENTS/PROPORTIONS of OUR SOCIETY BENEFIT MOST FROM MILITARIZED U.S. LAW ENFORCEMENT ENTITES (i.e., militaristic mindset, attitude, approach, training, equipment, & procedures) -- to say nothing of other prevalent, nationally pervasive institutional red-light issues as well? Almost ALWAYS, when large segments/portions of societies are purposefully subjected to extremes in any direction right or left, some much smaller segments(s)/proportion(s) benefit and profit obscenely at others expense times MANY generations currently alive and unborn going forward. Then too, of those who endure deprivation of various kind, suffer, and or die (either spiritually or biologically) -- CHILDREN ALWAYS BARE THE BRUNT and are IMPACTED MOST. The above, imho, begs two questions. 1. Is this what most want for my country, and ... If not ... 2. HOW FARRR are those like me willing to go to halt, reverse, and prevent this, the aforementioned trends and then some, from rearing their ugly heads, correlated outcomes, and from rising again? Personally, Im willing to go ALL THE EXPLETIVE WAY. Why? Because going all the way is the only and most effective way to approach all gravely critical issues to max probabilities for success. Additionally, the alternative of allowing trends mentioned herein (and others not addressed in this comment) is a proposition too vile, unethical, amoral, unjust, inequitable, and the like along this vein for me to consider let alone willingly accept without strongly resisting/opposing them -- without raging against them until my fellow compatriots and I are successful or until I am physically and mentally unable to continue, whichever occurs first. I love to make people laugh, feel good, etc. -- clown, joke, have fun. However, as you know, life is not all anything. There are times when you, I, WE must soberly stand strong, work smart, hard, and perservere through anything and everything because for whom we do it and the reason(s) is/are more important than what we ourselves may be strong enough to endure and tolerate. We, as a society, are only as strong and resilient as the youngest and/or weakest among us. In that respect, it behooves us and it is in everyones best interest if we care about and for those among us better and more fervently than we do for ourselves. Doing so is merely the common sense, humanitarian, prudent thing to do. Besides, not that this should be regarded as a motivating factor, usually efforts in this regard yield consistently high dividends -- redundantly as well.
