Geelani hails Pandits, Sikhs for poll boycott News from Greater Kashmir newspaper Srinagar, Apr 25: Expressing pleasure over, what he said, the election boycott by Pandits and Sikhs to support their Muslim brethren, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Friday said their decision have proved Kashmir dispute was not any communal issue. “The decision of Pandit and Sikh brothers to support the Muslims in election boycott has proven that the Kashmir dispute is not any communal issue but relates to the future of 13 million people including Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist and Christian brothers,” Geelani said in a statement. “The minorities of Jammu and Kashmir are our brothers and they are like our body parts and we will never leave them alone in any situation anyway. The expression of the Pandit brothers is a token of pleasure for me,” Geelani said.
