Geelani pays tribute to slain Ultras=> Syed Ali Geelani Thursday paid glowing tributes tothe ultras martyred in Kellar encounter. In his telephonic address topeople who participated in the funeral procession of the slain ultraMohammad Altaf Baba, Geelani said that the best way to pay the homage tomartyres is to carry their mission of independence for Islam to its logicalend by continuing the the struggle for getting rid of Indian militaryoccupation of ammu and Kashmir on political level also.In a statement Geelani said the irony is this that on one side peopletakepart in funeral prayers of these martyres raising pro freedom slogans andon another side they participate in the gatherings and meetings of proIndian and anti movement people of the parties like NC,PDP,Congress andothers who are the real murderers of these young warriors of oppressed andsuppressed nation.“Not only this people also vote for them to come in power with the resultthat India exploits this action of people on international level by sayingthat by voting Kashmiri people haveshown their faith in socalled Indiandemocracy. So the best way to remember and give due respect to the holyblood of martyres is to completely boycott the next elections wheneverconducted or held and thereby show to the world that we are not willing toremain under the Indian occupation.”Geelani reminded people of the atrocities committed by Indian occupationalforces, local administration and police in the form ofoppression,imprisonment of youthand leaders,torture of freedom fighters ininterrogation centers,violation of modesty of women folk to the extent ofeven raping and murdering them,destruction of our property and houses andabove all to abolish our Islamic identity by cultural aggression.He asked people to join the ranks of Tehreek-Hurriyat organization whichhas been established with three objectives Islam to be adopted as acompleteway of life,strive for freedom for Islam with unity of Millah.He laidstress on the character building as per principals of Quran and Sunnah,onlythen by the help of GOD we shall achieve the success.
