Geez the DM3 were great on Saturday night. Kicking off with The Someloves Know You Now and closing with Badfingers No Matter What You Do with a whole stack of power-pop gems squashed in between. Why Dom Marianis music career post-The Stems never kicked on to bigger things remains a mystery, he really is a cut above. The whole evening was, of course, dedicated to Christian Houllemare and his presence was acknowledged by the DM3 with the inclusion of The Someloves Dont Talk About Us, the recording of which featured Christian on bass. Jim Dickson gave a heartfelt speech about his friend Christian and backed it up with a rockin set from The New Christs. Paul Berwick and friends played a cross section of songs including the Velvet Undergrounds Im Set Free and Died Prettys DC. It was a joyous night and a fine way to farewell Christian.
