Gelda and I are off to Scotland next month, October 3rd and heading for Fort Augustus on Loch Ness. Were hiring a car but its quite a drive so we were looking at staying somewhere overnight about halfway. This would be in the Lancaster - Kendal area; can anyone recommend anywhere thereabouts? Do I know anyone thereabouts? Do you know anybody thereabouts who would put up a couple of old hippies bearing wine and a guitar? And cake probably.
