Gen. Joseph L. Votel, commander of the @United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), addressed staff and faculty as part of the Leadership Professional Development Series, at the U.S. Military Academy, Jan. 22. Gen. Votel opened the session by saying, “what you do to train, inspire, educate, motivate and prepare the cadets to be leaders of our men and women is phenomenal.” During the session he spoke about the Special Operations mission, the complexity of the security environment the military is operating in, initiatives the Special Operations Command is focused on, and then closed with a question and answer session.
