Gen. Noor stresses the need for peoples representation in the upcoming cabinet After announcement of the nominees for the upcoming Afghan cabinet and dissatisfaction of some people with the breakdown of the cabinet, Gen Ata Mohammad Noor has travelled to Kabul to address some of the issues. In his trip, Gen Ata Mohammad Noor visited His Excellency CEO of the Afghan National Unity Government Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Salauddin Rabbani, head of Jamiat-e Eslami Afghanistan and candidate for the foreign ministry, Ustad Hajji Mohammad Mohaqeq, deputy of the Afghan CEO, Besmillah Mohammadi, former defence minister, Mohammad Yunous Qanuni, former vice-president, Amanullah Guzar, Hajji Hazrat Ali and John Ahmad Khan, prominent figures, Mir Dad Khan Nejrabi, member of the parliament and many more high-ranking personalities, elders and the youth. In the meetings, Gen Noor has expressed his happiness over the announcement of the cabinet nominees and called it a milestone for the NUG. In his meeting with His Excellency Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Mr. Noor said that the rights of those who put their life at risk to implement democracy, should not get ignored. The Balkh governor also met with some of the candidates and promised his support. In his trip to Kabul, Gen Noor also received some representatives and members of parliament of Herat, Ghor, Farah and Badghis in his residence and discussed the current situation and formation of the cabinet. He said people who put their life at risk for going to the ballot boxes have the right to see them represented in the NUG. He promised they would take all necessary measures to ensure that the people’s rights are respected.
