Genealogy and DAR Workshop When: Saturday, July 13 Where: Laurens County Library - Dublin, Georgia 810 Bellevue Road, Dublin, Georgia Time: 10:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (Library opens at 10:00 a.m. – Closes at 2:00) Workshop Coordinator: Linda Douglas DAR Field Genealogist, Warner Robins, Georgia Workshop Topics: • Researching your family history • Researching a patriot • Acceptable service for membership in the DAR • Working on DAR Applications • Working or DAR Supplementals • Using the DAR Genealogical Research System. • Building an application through the DAR application program • Evidence needed to support application • Preparing evidence for an application • Recommended sources for information • Using on-line research sources • Research sources in the area The workshop will be informal and you are urged to bring your ‘work’ in progress. DAR applications are also of interest to SAR members and SAR prospective members. You are welcome to attend!
