Reference:- UO No. HD/Plan/22/2013, dated 17.12.2014, from the Health & Medical Education Department. Government Order No: 1274 -GAD of 2014, Dated: 5 / - 1 2 - 2014. Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of the State & District Steering Committees with the following composition, to review the Routine Immunization (RI) programme performance, identifying operational constraints and ensuring corrective operational steps to improve the routine immunization (RI) coverage and issues related to fund distribution and Statement of Expenditure pertaining to immunization programme:- A) State Task Force Immunization (STFII: 1. I Member - 1 Member Member i) ii) iii) review the State and district plans for information, education and The terms of reference of the State Task Force shall be to:- review the performance of District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI); assess the routine immunization programme performance through a detailed review of monitoring data, coverage data (HMIS and MCTS) and occurrence of Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs); review the vacant positions at district and sub-district level, vaccine chain logistics and training status with a special focus on the high priority districts; iv) communication (IEC) for demand generation and community k4 participation in routine immunization; v) review the issues related to fund distribution and Statement of Expenditure (SoE) pertaining to immunization; vi) decide specific, appropriate and time bound actions, based on field reports from the State monitors and minutes of the meeting received from DTFIs with clarity on the persons responsible for taking these actions; vii) involve appropriate non-health departments to ensure their support for improvement of Routine Immunization coverage in the State; and viii) review the action taken report on the actions decided in the previous meetings. 6) District Task Force for Immunization [DTFI): 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. District Magistrate concerned Chief Medical Officer District Immunization Officer District Panchayat Officer Executive Officer (District Municipal Committee) District Project Officer, ICDS Chairman Member-Secretary Member Member Member Member ii) iii) The terms of reference of the District Task Force shall be to:- i) assess the Routine Immunization (RI) programme performance through a detailed review of monitoring data, coverage data (HMIS and MCTS) and occurrence of Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs) from Blocks and Urban Planning Units; review the quality of Routine Immunization micro-plans, tracking and mobilization efforts, contingency plan for vacant sub-centres, training status and vaccine chain logistics etc, with a specific focus on the high risk areas; review the impact of the efforts for demand generation and community participation in Routine Immunization; iv) to decide specific, appropriate and time bound actions, based on Routine Immunization (RI) monitoring feedback to improve immunization coverage and quality; v) involve all non-health departments to ensure their support for routine immunization coverage improvement; and vi) review the action taken report on the actions decided in the previous meetings.
