General Conference We are thankful for the blessings of God at General Conference in St. Louis. The messages were timely and anointed; the worship and prayer were outstanding; the exhibits and seminars were greatly expanded. The conference is now positioned to provide inspiration and training not only for ministers but also local church leaders and workers. Attendance was about 7,000. We greatly expanded our social media presence. Facebook posts about General Conference reached 2.7 million people, and Twitter reached almost 1 million. Live streaming in English and Spanish reached people in many countries, going to about 3,000 internet addresses per day. Many of these were congregations, as well as seven radio stations. For the first time ever, we raised over $5 million at General Conference for world missions. This was truly unprecedented and miraculous. I believe it signifies that we are entering a new dimension of apostolic revival. On Wednesday night, we raised an offering of $4.3 million for Global Missions, shattering the previous record of about $2.4 million. After the donated items are sold we will exceed the goal of $4.4 million. This amount will enable us to send at least twenty-six missionary families back to their fields without needing extensive deputational travel. We have already released six families to return, and we will continue to release others as the money comes in. On Thursday night, we gave $334,000 for North American Missions, and we pledged almost $100,000 per year in monthly commitments. In addition, about 175 church planters participated in a two-day church planters seminar. On Friday night, I preached on Advancing Gods Kingdom. A condensed version will be published in the December Pentecostal Herald. In the message I stated my belief that the Lord is telling the United Pentecostal Church International that we are entering into a year of transformation. We have had incremental growth in the past few years, with more churches and ministers than ever before in the US and Canada, but the momentum is building for great revival worldwide. It is time to advance, to accelerate, and to have explosive revival. Ministers Wives The breakfast for ministers wives is always a highlight of General Conference as a time of fellowship and fun. My wife spoke briefly, presenting a Clarion Call for renewed consecration and commitment to holiness. Many have asked for a copy to share with ladies in their church. A CD or DVD is available for purchase from upcimedia. A transcript is available at upciministers (requires ministers login) in the middle box. 30 Days of Prayer Each January we encourage local churches to designate a special time of prayer, and World Network of Prayer prepares a prayer guide for this purpose. The prayer guide for 30 Days of Prayer can be ordered here. Sincerely in Christ, David K.
