General Lee is an amazing gelding and everyones favorite. He is a rich rare chestnut color, you can spot him immediately in a group of chestnut & sorrels because of his reddish tint that makes him just stand out in that way that makes everyone always comment. General is a standard 15h and a spitting image of the WGC walkers but we dont have his papers, he was actually a rescue horse, we were originally told he was only 10 years old but it seems that each month weve had him the age has tacked on by years because we were also recently told that he was in his late teens judging by his teeth. I dont really trust this theory because Ive been told that our main stud is a late teenager when we have his papers & hes been DNA tested as well. Because of this situation, General would be only available as an adoption because we have several thousand in him in vet bills and so forth with figuring out his age/health situation. He is reliable and considered the baby-sitter as well as Mr. Reliable because he fits his name & takes care of his group. We would not hesitate from ever putting anyone on him just because of how well broke he is. He neck-reins and has the absolute smoothest gait that Ive ever experienced. The main health concerns with him are that he has never completely filled out in his back and he does have a cartilage form in his lower neck. Weve had him X-Rayed/Ultrasound/Blood Tested and basically came to the conclusion that as long as it doesnt cause him pain or appear to then we just let him be a horse, he loves being in front of the pack and hes a very eager to please type horse.
