Generally, in the black family (I can only speak for the black family...lol), we are usually brought up to be Christian and Democratic. As early as we can remember this is just how it is. We grow up and go to church and 4 to 5 days a week and not really ask any questions. We are old enough to vote and shoot...its just automatic that we vote democrat...once again without asking any questions. Thats just how it is.... Yes, there are a select few who will go against the grain....and ask and even RESEARCH...WHY...I mean not just ask an elder( who might not know either) but really go back from origins and find the roots of things and how they came about. Also, find out what being a Christian or a Democrat really means. My question is do you follow blindly because of how you was raised or do you follow because you have done your research or even questioned what you have observed and/learned over the years? I challenge us (you and me) to step out of the box and just verify is this really what we believe? Does this really make sense to me? Some of us maybe surprised...some of us wont be. Some of us will change what we do and what we say we are and some of us wont.
