Genes increase risk of #ptsd in trauma survivors - Excellent article - The risk of developing PTSD is much higher if the trauma is intentional, add in the case of 9/11, compared to natural disasters. Receiving social support from others also helps reduce the risk of PTSD as long as the trauma is not dismissed or minimized.
