Genesee & Wyoming have applied to abandon the line between St Peters Junction (near Port Hawkesbury) and Sydney Nova Scotia on 31 December 2014. The Nova Scotia government is trying to prevent this. Trains now run about once a week and are crewed off the spare board so operating days can vary. Thanks to help from several CBNS employees Tim Hayman & I were able to locate train #302 on Wednesday 5 November and film it between Ottawa Brook and Boisdale including the Grand Narrows Bridge (a national industrial heritage site). The train was powered by two repainted GWI GP15-1s 1562 & 1563. The late fall colours and a very overcast and squally day add to the photographic ambiance.
