Geneses 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” Phil 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Doubt – Satan’s biggest weapon is doubt. He lets us do all the damage ourselves, he just plants the seed. God has planted the seed of love in our hearts. Satan comes along and plants the seed of doubt. They both grow but the one we think on most is the one that is watered and tended to. Do we think on the word of God? Do we water the word with our reading, do we fertilize the word with prayer or do we water Satan’s doubt with worry and fertilize it by agonizing on what may be? We are human, so we do both, but if we stay in God’s word we have less time to doubt and agonize. We are too busy with God’s love watering and fertilizing our hearts. The next time you start to worry, pull out God’s word and read it. Then bow your head in prayer and talk to God our Father. If you do this, you will find it much harder to worry and agonize and much easier to love and be at ease. Sandra Clark
