Genesis 1:29 "Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food". Genesis 9:3,4 "3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. 4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it" (NIV). "Initially, meat was only eaten following a sacrifice. As the meat of certain sacrifices was eaten by the people bringing the sacrifices and by their families and friends, all of whom had to be ritually pure, some see these types of sacrifices as being primarily directed at elevating the mundane act of eating meat into the worship of God". Thus, according to Genesis, man was vegetarian before the Flood and came to eat all flesh after it, but only that which had been cleansed of blood and offered as a burnt [roasted] offering. Did that include human flesh? Child sacrifice was common at the time as confirmed in the stories of Abraham Genesis 21:9,10,14,15 and 22:2]. Genesis 22:2 2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”(NIV).
