Genesis 41:46, Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh. JESUS was thirty years old when HE began HIS ministry. As Joseph revealed the secrets of GOD concerning the dreams of Pharaoh, CHRIST revealed the secret things hidden from the foundation of the world, that the gentiles should be fellow heirs with the saints of GOD, in CHRIST. The text plainly shows the providence of GOD in Josephs life, as well as the lives of HIS people. Joseph interpreted the dreams, through divine intervention. GOD did not put Joseph in bondage, but GOD would use and bless Joseph in Egypt. In GOD`s rich mercy Egypt would be spared from the coming famine, as well as the rest of the world, because the dearth was all over upon the face of the earth. GOD is rich in mercy. The more important part of the text comes in the blessing of GOD upon Joseph, while in Egypt, of having two sons born unto him. We will reach the sons in a few chapters, and their importance in scripture.The first son, Manaseh, means forgetting. GOD caused him to forget his toil, and his fathers house. The second son, Ephraim, means fruitful. GOD would cause him to be fruitful in his affliction. The elect of GOD are certainly in a strange land. GOD makes us forget our trials. GOD makes us fruitful in this strange land, where all glory is to our SAVIOUR.
