****Gentle discipline advice needed**** A wise mama asks: Help! I have messaged a couple times about my 2 year olds hitting. It has only gotten worse, he punches, kicks, slaps, throws toys, and pinches. I probably say I understand youre mad/frustrated/upset/hurt..but its not okay to hit..hitting is not nice..that really hurts mommy and more a million times a day. We do gentle parenting but it seems its only getting worse. He now hits other kids, throws whatever is in his hand at their heads, pushes them down. And he hits over everything and anything. And when I ask him not too he will punch me in the face right again. I dont know where this aggression is coming from. I cry at night because I feel like Im failing. I know hitting is normal but this is out of control. Are calm down corners effective? I just need some help, please Im desperate for my sanity.
