Gentlemen and Ladies, Boys and girls, It is a privilege and honor, and I am humbled before you to discuss some of the basics that an intending candidate should know or an before election. Before I stress on the importance of politics, its ingredients and practices, let me differentiate two political trends. One is the international politics and two us the PNG politics. International politics is more appropriately applicable when u are in power after playing PNG politics. PNG politics is entirely about Custom. To master PNG politics you have to master your custom: up to date with your customary obligations. Be connected to the people and show your presence and be recognised. Education is knowledge and knowledge is power. However, the question is: why a lot of highly educated people got eliminated in the first count in last election? This is simply because we talk big, we talk and think that our educational qualifications could make gain voters favours. However we have terribly failed big time. May this be good mission for everyone. To conclude; lets say that political participation every election is not for people who play their own trumpet but for someone who is a favourite to villages and communities in remote localities.
