Genuineness “Seek good and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you, just as you have said. Hate evil and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the Lord, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.” Amos 5:14-15 Sometimes, we can try to be a different person, someone disingenuous to who we truly are, just to please those around us. Amos is telling us that we should always be true to who we are, following a path of goodness and love. There will often be people we encounter who may not always get along with who we really are, but it is better to be you than to be fake. Let us find our genuineness, keep our focus on God, and not worry about the judgment from those around us. Prayer of the Day: Almighty God, you created us and you know our innermost secrets and thoughts. Keep us genuine in our worship and praise toward you. Give us courage to live boldly, demanding justice for all who are marginalized or oppressed. Amen. Amanda Sacchitello
