Geo-Tech Polymers Industrial Maintenance Technician Job in Waverly, OH Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician SUMMARY: Maintenance technicians will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following but are by no means limited to: •Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, mills, conveyors, extruders compressors, and pumps and other. •Repair or replace control devices such as switches, motors, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed •Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments. •Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment •Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment •Demonstrate honesty, high personnel integrity, and positive attitude •Other duties may be assigned EDUCATION AND PERTIANT PROVE EXPERIENCE: The minimum requirements for education and experience are listed below. Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience. •18yrs of age •Have at least 3 years experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair. •Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings. •Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication. •Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is an asset. •Experience in the operation of plastics processing is an asset SCHEDULE: •Must be willing to work overtime as needed in order to ensure equipment is operational as well as changing shift schedule(s) and on a rotating weekend on call list. COMPUTER SKILLS: •Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts. The employee must be able to endure heights and confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The environment characteristics described her are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently work near moving mechanical parts and is in high, precarious places and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, and airborne particles. The noise level is typically above 85 dba, requiring the use of hearing protection. In addition safety glasses are to be worn at all times.
