George Clooney & his new bride, Amal, are reportedly honeymooning in the same location where William & Catherine honeymooned ~ North Island resort in the Seychelles, a stunning eco-resort, which was dubbed as the most expensive in the world. I am sure part of the expense is due to the privacy provided (although pix of W & C were taken while they were walking on the beach - Id demand a partial refund if that happened! No way to confirm for sure the Clooneys are there; there are differing reports but still fun to imagine. It is known to be one of the best places for scuba diving. I think its interesting that it is an eco-resort. That reflects a desire by both couples to honor & respect the environment. It also means that while the locale is indeed first class, they are eschewing a lot of the perks that come with top end resorts. Even though it is an exclusive locale, a review of the website shows that it is not overly decadent or glam. It has a strong focus on eco-friendly practices & seems to be a more get back to nature vibe than a over the top glam one. Of course that doesnt mean that they are roughing it but I think it speaks to a broader goal that both couples share to be mindful of the choices they make.
