George Galloway on Air Strikes against ISIS: you cant destroy an idea with bombs. Simple truth, question becomes what do you do. Doing nothing is pointless too. However, repeating the same mistakes over again is more harmful. For every bomb Britain drops on ISIS that kills a civilians they give someone a reason to join the ranks of ISIS. It really is as simple as that. It isnt about extremism or terrorism. It is about human nature. One need only look as far as the motivation for people of France or Britain for joining the War effort of WW1 or WW2. The motivation was to defend the principles they believed in, to defend their nation and families. That same motivation lives inside every person. Some act upon it. Some dont but i would say from Palestine to israel, Vietnam to Korea, America To Britain, Cuba to China, Russia, Korea, Ethiopa, Nigera, etc etc People have taken up arms after losing family members or community members at the hands of people they then see as enemies. No British involvement in Iraq war would have meant no 7/7. The solution, is further debate with the middle east to take a stand.
