George Stinney, Exonerated 70 Years After Wrongful Murder Conviction As 14-Year-Old From: Umar A. Muhammed 70 years after they executed a 14th year old child that was less than 5 feet tall and weighed a little over 100 pounds the courts has just exonerated this lad. Within hours after his arrest he was brought to a court room in front of a Judge. There was no witnesses to the murders, no evidence, his lawyer didnt cross examine anyone and the only testimony was the police report, and policemen testimony. In less than 8 hours he was found guilty of murder and sentenced to the death penalty. During those days in that county (1944) black people was not allow in the court unless they were a suspect in a crime. This boy became the youngest ever put to death in the United States(14 years old). He was so small they had to put books in his chair so that his head could reach the killing coils. Well in the year (2014) they just clear his name and rule he was innocent of the crime he was accuse of and they ruled his Constitutional right of due process was violated.
