George Zimmerman is not the issue here. The media and politicians have sensationalized this case. The evidence was presented and Zimmerman was found innocent because he acted in self-defense. Everyone paints him as a murderer, and Trayvor Martin as an innocent teen. In reality Martin was not an angel as everyone wants us to believe. He did not deserve to die, but at same time Zimmerman does not deserve to live in fear for the rest of his life. Zimmerman was overzealous on his job as neighborhood watchman, but Martin was also aggressive when he was confronted by Zimmerman. This is because of society which glorifies violence and aggressiveness. Like so many kids raised in the big cities, they think violence is the answer. The stand your ground law is also one of the screw up laws in Florida. It needs to be revised or defeated... Evidence showed that Zimmerman acted in self-defense, both sides presented their case and a jury decided the outcome. It was not never about race, but people are making it and that is what causes friction in the community.
