George Zimmerman was the beneficiary of one of the most - TopicsExpress

George Zimmerman was the beneficiary of one of the most controversial verdicts in recent history. The jurors in the trial also found themselves under scrutiny and being accused of racism. One juror in particular, Juror B37, even tried to cash in with her lawyer husband and write a book about her time deliberating the case. The other jurors distanced themselves from the woman and activists on the Internet killed the book deal. But now there are other questions that need to be answered. WFTV is reporting that jurors were left unsupervised for long periods of time, speaking with friends and relatives who had access to outside media during the trial. Experts say that this could amount to jury tampering, which may have influenced the verdict. The jurors signed an agreement with the court to ensure that any conversations with outsiders have nothing do with the trial. But having long periods of time unsupervised opens the door for inappropriate conversations to take place. This could add yet another controversy to the trial that was so contentious that the White House issued two statements about the verdict. There were protest marches in 100 cities this week, and the possibility for unrest remains. Also, Stevie Wonder, Gospel singers Mary Mary and singer Stephanie Mills have all agreed to boycott the state of Florida in response to the verdict. It’s going to keep getting interesting.
