George, can you tell me what you know about the ARM meters--automatic reading metrs that some utilities are using. They are trying to say that they arent a smart meter and dont transmit. However. it is my understanding that they are a type of smart meter that supposedly doesnt receive a signal but transmits. The utility told me that it only sends a signal one time per month. However--as an EHS person--I have a meter and it emits a microwave radiation signal every 30 seconds!! When I told the utility guy that--he said that the meters have to check themselves every 30 seconds to make sure they are still working. Doesnt that sound like bulshi* to you? Why would it emit a signal to check itself? What do you know about this type of meter?
