Georgia has three other full-time members on the strength staff. They are associate directors Sherman Armstrong and John Thomas and assistant director Gus Felder. Georgia Tech cornerback D.J. White and guard Shaquille Mason were named ACC players of the week for their position groups after Tech’s win over Georgia. It was Mason’s third award of the season. He helped Tech gain 399 rushing yards against the Bulldogs. White had four tackles and the game-clinching interception in overtime. Georgia Tech B-back Zach Laskey, safety Isaiah Johnson and kicker Harrison Butker were named the team’s player of the week for their performance against Georgia. Laskey ran for 140 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson led the team with 10 tackles, two for loss, forced a fumble and recovered another. Butker made a 53-yard field goal at the end of regulation to force overtime, had two touchbacks and pooched a kickoff that was recovered for an onside kick. THA TRUTH
