Gerald Auger writes: An excerpt from my latest film as Writer/Director The Forgotten Truth of the Wilderness. On December 15, 2006 two things became real for me that day. Death and my search for the man they called Jesus. I thought about nothing but death for the next year. When I woke up in the morning my first thought was “Is this the day that I was going to die? How was it going to happen through a random event or accident? The next thing I asked myself was “Who was this man they called Jesus? Why had he come into my life though judgement, condemnation, and persecution of my spiritual beliefs” Why was I convinced that he was a hypocrite bearing false witness to the people of my community through a local Church. Why were my people worshipping this man and led to believe their own culture and spiritual beliefs were pagan, devil worship and of black magic. Why did Jesus come into my life the day I was burying my father, Jack Auger Sr, on December 15, 2006. This is my seven year journey of searching this man out they called Jesus, the Son of God.
