Geri Byrne who is well known for her involvement in sheep herding trials posted this on her FB page. She and some other gals went down to Alturas, Ca site of the 2015 National Sheepherding Championship to check out the fields where it will be held. She lives in Tulelake, CA not too far from here at all where I live in Klamath Falls. Alturas is probably a couple of hours from us. I am excited that it will held in the West this year. It is either held in the East, Middle America or the West. 2015 will be the Wests turn. We went to the one here in 2012. That is what this promo video is that you will be seeing. It is from the 2012 championship held here in the Klamath Falls area. At the 50 second and the 58 second time is Patrick Shannahan (who along with Riggs his Border) won the 2010 championship. Riggs is our Cassies dad. Patrick is the owner of Redtop Kennels in Idaho where we got our Cassie. Very nice and respected man. He has even taken Riggs over to Europe to compete. If you ever can get a chance to go to a trial or championship please do. You will be mesmerized as to what these BORDERS can do. I know I was. Cassie just went nuts when I showed her the video. Eyes almost came out of her head staring at the sheep and of course, her DAD......lol....Last year they were held in VA. PS....I love the music. Goes with herding and BORDERS.....lol....enjoy
