German Shepherd Rescue of Central Florida has the end of this year packed with fun opportunities for families & friends and provides a way to help us raise money for our family of rescued dogs, puppies and farm animals. Our fourth quarter newsletter will wrap up the year and is entitled “A Year Of Laughter And Tears”. We don’t want to spoil your fun in reading it, so enough said for now. Watch for the newsletter. It starts with the Dogs & Divas’ Quarter Mania Fundraiser, at October 28, 2013 at 11 am in The Villages. You can get your tickets early to save money. This is quality jewelry and we encourage you to bring your friends and make new ones. Beautiful jewelry to raise money for our beautiful furbabies- How Divine! You also have a chance to buy a raffle ticket at this event for an original piece of artwork by the gifted, talented artist, Susan Saladin. This original oil on canvas entitled “The Madonna and the Puppy Mill” is not only beautiful, but moving as well. Susan kindly donated this magnificent painting to our rescue to benefit the animals. Ticket sales will culminate at our Manatee-Lanes-Two-Hour-Bowl-A-Thon, noon to 2 pm Saturday, November 16th in Crystal River, FL, when the winner is drawn. You need not be present to win. Susan has also kindly offered to provide reprints for those not lucky enough to win the raffle for this gorgeous original. Other dates to remember include Walk & Wag for Hospice, Oct. 19th at the Pat Thomas Stadium, Leesburg, FL and the Fun Dog Show “Not So Westminster Dog Show” in Leesburg, FL on Nov. 9th. And of course, we are saving one or two surprises for the upcoming newsletter.
