German consumer groups are calling for stricter minimum ethical and environmental standards for companies, saying that CSR and green marketing alone cant meet the need for improved manufacturing practices. The consumer needs to be able to have faith that ecological and ethical minimum standards have been complied with in the production process, said Christian Thorun of ConPolicy.
