German chancellor Angela Merkel promised the UN to pledge one billion US-Dollar into their climate fund in the next years, which might bring Dr. Merkel back to the champions in the fight of global warming. Aid foundation Oxfam postulates, that all rich nations should follow this model to finance low carbon technologies in poor nations and helps to reduce the results of climate change in the next years. In the last week we have seen no important fundamentals, so the market of European Emission Rights was moving in the well known sideward-upward channel with the result, that yesterday the six-Euro-level has been seen once again. In August we will see the impact of the halved auction volume.
