Get Your Answers Ready. Sometimes when you perform a certain type of effect people will generally respond the same way 9 out of ten times. This gives you a chance to prepare your response and make it sound spontaneous. For example you might perform Burn and make some real money. In which case someone might say, If I get you some paper will you turn it into real money for me? Sometimes the audience itself gives you some good one line answers so keep your ears open. For example recently someone asked me how I did an effect and someone replied He doesnt know, its the first time it ever worked. I liked the line so I use it often and it gets a laugh. (As opposed to saying Its magic). Ive often wondered how magic celebrities like Dynamo get around this problem. After their client has paid them £10,000 for a gig then how does he get around not performing effects that require a huge amount of money, setting up or camera editing like Walking on Water or Phone in Bottle and so forth?. Imagine how disappointing that is after paying that amount of money. Of course they are not really paying for his magic skills primarily but his celebrity status. Still, as I say, disappointing all the same. So every time you think of a good line or hear one then write it down and try it out. If it works keep it in. If not then throw it out. :)
