July 15, 2013—Delegate Filing Period Ends Those wishing to participate as a candidate in their county’s election of state conference delegates must submit the 2013 Delegate Filing Form to either the county Chair, Vice Chair, State Committeeman or State Committeewoman at DEC office, 10051 McGregor Blvd, Ste. 101, Fort Myers FL, by this date. Please keep in mind, your County’s Election of Conference Delegates is an important organizing tool. It is imperative that county leadership do all that they can to publicize the opportunity to become a delegate as widely as possible, and to do their best to get the word out beyond just the members of the DEC. Additionally, we are calling on our county leadership to place a special emphasis on encouraging the participation of traditionally underrepresented communities, to ensure that our elected delegates accurately reflect the diversity of our great state.
