Get over yourselves shut off the colorful lights! Examine the words of your songs, stop clapping for nice sounding words, stop kissing things because theyre pretty and learn the stories of the saints. Dont light incense because it smells nice and then walk out unchanged because the representation of pouring your hearts out to God doesnt match the symbol. Dont close off yourselves and make the gospel so complex you dont reach the simple and broken heart and your name is unknown under the shadow of your steeple. Stop taking youth on trips and making them emotionally high, only to return to their broken lives worse than before because they crash and no one is there in the aftermath when real change does not occur. Stop lighting candles and then forgetting to lift up those around you with needs in sincere prayer. Dont wear shiny robes and expensive necklaces and turn away those who dress in a less grand manor, but have longing hearts that God adores. Stop focusing on icons of those in heaven and neglecting those who might not be because youre comfortable with your traditions. Stop singing nice words that are wide and shallow that deaf ears cannot hear. Why are your voices loud with empty words and your hands silent to tell the depth of Gods love? Why is Jesus Biblically for all, but his blood is only for those who believe everything man in a religious club dictates? Stop teaching about Jonah from 5 years old to 55 years and be bold enough to learn what we wouldnt need Bible colleges to teach if the church did its job. Why are we not hurting for our broken world? What is happening to you church?
