Get ready for the cold. We continue to track a cold front that will sweep across North Alabama early Friday afternoon. Ahead of the front we will have increasing clouds late tonight followed by a few sprinkles and isolated showers Friday morning. Lows tonight will be in the lower 40s. Highs on Friday will be reached in the late morning hours, before the cold front arrives. Friday afternoon it will be mostly cloudy, windy and colder. Temperatures will fall into the lower 40s during the Trick-or-Treat hours Friday evening. Saturday morning will be very cold and windy with wind chills in the 20s and temperatures around freezing. Highs will only be in the lower 50s Saturday afternoon. The strong winds will make it feel more like the 30s all day, even with abundant sunshine. Another freeze will happen early Sunday morning we will likely wake up to a widespread frost if the winds die down Saturday night. Don’t forget we set our clocks back one hour early Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon will be sunny with less wind and highs around 57. Temperatures will moderate into the middle and upper 60s early next week. Our next chance of rain will move in around the middle of next week. Have a great night. Brad Travis Chief Meteorologist WAFF 48 Storm Team We Track Storms
