Get ready for the hottest stretch of weather for the Tennessee - TopicsExpress

Get ready for the hottest stretch of weather for the Tennessee Valley this summer. I know that’s not saying a lot since it has been a mild summer so far. Highs will reach the lower to middle 90s with heat index values around 100 degrees for the rest of the week. Temperatures will drop into the middle 70s this evening and we will have great conditions to see the International Space Station tonight at 8:10 pm. It will be tracking from the SW to the NE. It will be passing almost directly overhead and the show will last for six minutes. The Perseids Meteor shower also continues tonight. The humidity comes back on Wednesday and with it a slight chance for a few isolated t-storms. We are watching a weak frontal boundary that will stall over Tennessee and lead to rounds of scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday through Sunday for the entire area. Not everyone will get wet each day but some areas will see locally heavy rain, strong gusty winds and significant lightning later this week. Overnight lows will creep back into the lower 70s this weekend and afternoon highs will remain in the lower 90s Saturday and Sunday. Brad Travis Chief Meteorologist WAFF 48 Storm Team We Track Storms
