Get the winter coats out!! Arctic air will push into NE OK. with temps likely staying below freezing Tuesday and Wednesday. Much uncertainty exists regarding the potential for sleet and freezing rain. Warm air will overspread the cold air at the surface to create the possibility of light freezing rain and sleet later in the week. Then as the main upper level low pushes into the southern plains this weekend, snow and sleet will be possible on the NW periphery of the Lows track. The track and strength of this system is crucial to who gets snow and who gets dry slotted. Its still very unclear what might happen. After the system moves through this weekend, another dump of arctic air may invade our area.
