Get this down in your spirit from the desk of Bishop T. Anthony Bonner... Okay Is Not Option The voice came a second time: If God says its okay, its okay (Acts 10:15 MSG). Eugene Peterson uses a favorable understanding for the word okay (Acts 10:15) to mean approval, agreement or endorsement. God said it is okay to eat non-kosher meat. Peter said, Oh, no, Lord. Ive never so much as tasted food that was not kosher (Acts 10:14 MSG). But when God gives you the okay, he is giving you his approval to proceed. In fact, God is standing in agreement with you with his okay. There are times, however, when okay is not an option. We need never to settle for a situation or a dreamless existence. We must participate in the truth that God loves us and wants us to be better. God desires us to see his goodness in the land of the living. In the words of Pastor Matthew L. Brown of Marietta, Georgia, in essence, we serve an exceptional God, so we ought not live just an okay life. God has called us and this next generation to live with expectations, excitement and dreams, to strive to engage in a life that is rewarding, beneficial and satisfying, and to shape our community and region towards restoration and renewal. I said, if it please the king, and if the king thinks well of me, send me to Judah, to the city where my family is buried, so that I can rebuild it. (Nehemiah 2:5 MSG). Being just okay and settling is not an option for the believer who have faith. We pursue with persistence to see the reality God has promised. Prayer: God, give us the courage to fight for our dreams and vision, and not to settle for the okays in life. Amen. Gods Peace and Good Journey! +t. anthony bronner
