Get very nostalgic at this time of the year...especially today/tonight.... We used to spend every Christmas Eve at my Grandparent James house. Every year was magical, crowded and loud. We had our grandparents, great grandmother, all our aunts and uncles (only one set lived out of state, Michele Bowen Simonsen was there in spirit..) some great aunts and uncles and extended family members... Being told to stay away from the heater, quit shoving/picking on each other... We grands were in three groups by age, Phyllis Bowen & Jimmy James, then Ron James, Michele, Curtis Cooldaddy James, Me, Jason James & Chris Black, then the youngest group, (which included a great grand) Jacquerlyn James-Murphy, Janece James DiFranco, Jeremy James, Jay James, Cheri Nicole Bowen and Jodi James Heise. By the time the youngest group came along, as the lone female (in town), it was my job to disappear into the back room and wrap gifts from my Grandma James and my Uncle Ricky James.... I loved it so much..... one of the Aunts/Uncles, then Jimmy, would sneak outside and ring the wind chime on the front porch... those were magical years....
