#GetOutdoors - The Rocky Mountain Region in partnership with Get Outdoors Colorado is celebrating National Get Outdoors Day on June 8th at Denver City Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a fun day for people of all ages, background and abilities where all can bike, climb, paddle, learn, dance, and play all in the same day. National Get Outdoors Day Denver is made possible by Get Outdoors Colorado, a diverse partner network dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to connect to nature and healthy active outdoor lifestyles. This network includes multiple nonprofits and agencies such as the National Park Service, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Denver Parks and Recreation and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Additional partners and sponsors of National Get Outdoors Day Denver include United Healthcare, Channel 7NEWS, Vail Resorts, Timberland, The North Face, Alice and The Mountain radio stations, REI Inc., and Colorado Parks & Recreation Association. Last year more than 11,000 attended the Denver National Get Outdoors Day and this year up to 15,000 people are expected to attend.
