Getting Your Edge Back DAY 21 — WAIT ON THE LORD Isaiah 40:31 — “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not be faint.” It is human nature to want to rush ahead, and try to “make” something happen. However, sometimes in the hectic pace of life, we miss what God has for us. We often miss the greatest prize God has for us, because of impatience to not, “wait on the Lord.” Take time today to slow down and wait — God’s timing — is perfect and definitely worth waiting for, because it is in the waiting time that He does His greatest work in us! Pray: “Father, I do not want to miss what You have for me, nor get ahead of You, just because I cannot see in the natural what You are doing. I want to be faithful to You, Lord, not trying to make something happen, but waiting on Your perfect timing in my situation. In the waiting time, You are doing Your greatest work in me. Thank You that Your arms are wrapped around me, so that I feel safe; and for Your angels who go to work on my behalf as You command them. I wait before You, Lord, on Your timing for my life — help me to, ‘be still, and know that You are God!’ In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
